What special memories my husband and I have of our tours with Marco Fromboli of The Yummy Walker! He was our private guide in Barcelona, we saw our share of normal tourist attractions, but so many of our experiences were off the beaten path.
Before we booked our week-long trip to Barcelona, I checked to see if The Yummy Walker would consider offering a personal guided tour. The end-to-end care they provided was extraordinary from planning our itinerary to selecting our accommodations to booking and procuring our tickets to arranging public and private transportation. In one week we visited the top attractions in Barcelona (Sagrada Familia, Casa Batlló, Park Güell, Palau de la Música, St. Josep la Boqueria, the marina district, the Museu Nacional d’Art de Catalunya on Montjuic, Carmel Hill, Casa de les Punxes, and Passeig de Grácia); took excursions to Montserrat, Girona, Cadaqués, the Island of Portlligat, and Premiá de Mar; and experienced and gained insight into the mindset of Catalunya and its continuing struggle for independence. We walked, hiked, and rode by bus, train, private car, and funicular. Two especially memorable experiences were the half-day hike on Montserrat with lunch in a small cave of cheese, bread, and meats purchased in the small village and the gourmet dinner at L’Amistat in Premiá de Mar prepared for us by The Yummy Walker’s friend.
We made memories for a lifetime in Spain, thanks to The Yummy Walker and Marco Fromboli!
