I was in Madrid on business for two weeks and I decided to spend a weekend in Cordoba, a place I never visited before.
By surfing the web, I discovered by chance The Yummy Walker and contacted Luca to check the possibility to organize something fun that would satisfy my interest in food and wine.
He seemed to know Cordoba inside out and arranged a tour of some very authentic tabernas in town, but off the beaten track, where I was able to taste the local gastronomy along with great sherry-wines from the region.
The best part was when we ended up in a cosy square in the old town where a tapas bar was running a tortilla context, with Luca (surprise!) a member of the jury: I found myself mingling with the crowd and tasting a dozen variants of this Spanish dish so simple and savory at the same time. I felt so local that I even started chatting in Spanish…
If you are after something special, The Yummy Walker is definitely worth a try!
